channel

1）n. 電視臺

例：a movie/sports channel 電影 / 體育臺

2）vt.（利用某途徑）輸送資金

例：Money for the project will be channeled through local government.

這個項目的資金將由地方政府提供。

collect

1）v. 集合，匯集

例：A crowd began to collect in front of the embassy.

人群開始聚集在大使館的前面。

2）v. 積累，積聚

例：Dirt had collected in the corners of the room.

房間的角落裡積滿了灰塵。

3）vt. 領取，收走

例：The package is waiting to be collected.

這包裹在等人領取。

4）v. 募集，募捐

例：We're collecting for local charities.

我們正在為當地慈善機構募捐。

lay

1）vt.（在某物上）攤開

例：The floor was laid with newspaper.

地板上鋪了報紙。

2）vt. 提出，提交

例：The bill was laid before Parliament.

rubbish

2）n. 廢話，瞎說

例：It's not rubbish─it's true!

這不是瞎說——是真的！

spoil

1）vt. 溺愛，寵壞

例：She spoils those kids of hers.

2）vt. 犒賞

例：Spoil yourself with a new perfume this summer.

step
