Taking the Subway
坐地鐵
Mom: Let's take the subway to the city center today.
媽媽：咱們今天坐地鐵去市中心吧。
child: Yay! I've always wanted to ride the subway.
寶寶：耶！我一直想坐地鐵呢。
Mom: Let's take the escalator down.
媽媽：咱們坐扶梯下去吧。
Watch where you step.
注意腳下。
Hold on to Mommy's hand and stand still.
拉著媽媽的手，站穩。
Make sure you have your transport card ready!
準備好你的公交卡！
亦作transport pass。各大城市的公交卡通常有自己的名字，紐約叫Metro Card，倫敦叫Oyster Card，雪梨叫Opal Card，香港的八達通英文名叫Octopus Card。

Child: Like this?
寶寶：像這樣嗎？

媽媽：對，就是這樣。
☀ Waiting for the train 等地鐵
Mom: Let's find the right side we need to be on, in other words, the right direction.
媽媽：咱們先找到咱們坐的那邊，或者說找對方向。
Take a look at the sign that shows what the next station is.
看下指示牌，看看下一站是哪兒。
Child: Looks like the next station is Guo Mao.
寶寶：看起來下一站是國貿。
Mom: Good, that's our direction.
媽媽：好的，這個是咱們的方向。
Let's wait here.
咱們就在這兒等吧。
Don't stand too close to the edge of the platform.
不要離站臺邊太近。
Stand behind the yellow line.
站在黃線後面。
Child: Okay.
寶寶：好的。
Mom, the train is arriving.
媽媽，車來了。
Mom: Great, let's line up to get on.
媽媽：太好了，咱們排隊上車吧。
We let people get off first.
先讓別人下車。
Don't push.
不要擠。
☀ On the train 在車上
Mom: The train is departing from the station.
媽媽：列車出站了。
Hold on tight to my hand and I will hold on to the handle.
握緊我的手，我拉著拉環。
Woman: Would you like my seat?
女士：你想坐我的座位嗎？
Mom: Thank you!
媽媽：謝謝您！
(To child) It's polite to offer your seat to the elderly or to those with small children.
（對寶寶說）給老人或帶小孩的讓座位是很文明的行為。
Child: (To woman offering seat) Thank you, Miss!
寶寶：（對讓座女士）謝謝您，女士！
Miss是對年輕或未婚女士的稱呼，更通用的對所有女士的稱呼是Ma'am。
Mom, what if I don't know where to get off?
媽媽，如果我不知道哪站下怎麼辦？
Mom: If you need to find where you need to stop, you can ask someone beside you.
媽媽：如果你想知道在哪兒下車，可以問問旁邊的人。
Just say, "Excuse me, which station should I get off at to get to so-and-so place?"
你就說「打擾一下，我要去哪哪哪，應該在哪站下車呢？」

Child: Are we almost there?
寶寶：我們快到了嗎？
Mom: We are getting off at the next station.
媽媽：我們在下一站下車。
Let's move towards the door.
咱們往門口走。
Child: It's so crowded.
寶寶：太擠了。
Mom: Yes, it is.
媽媽：是的。
If you need to get by someone, you can say "Excuse me, may I get by you?"
如果你需要從某人身邊過一下，你可以說「勞駕，我能從您這兒過一下嗎？」
"Excuse me, coming through."
「勞駕，過一下。」
"Excuse me, can I swap spots with you?"
「勞駕，能跟您換一下嗎？」
Child: Okay.
寶寶：好的。
Mom: Actually, the next station is an interchange station.
媽媽：對了，下一站是換乘站。

Many people will get off, so we can just follow the flow of the people.
好多人都下，咱們跟著人流走就行了。
Be careful not to step on other people's feet.
小心不要踩到別人的腳。
If you do by accident, just apologize.
如果不小心踩到了，就道個歉。
You can say, "Sorry about stepping on your foot."
你可以說「不好意思踩到您的腳了」。
Child: Got it!
寶寶：知道了！

Mom: The train has stopped.
媽媽：車停了。
Get ready to go.
