昨天分享了《瘋狂動物城》裡的有鮮明文化背景的對話，這節將繼續搜羅電影中的常見俚語。從一部電影裡能掌握的俚語實在太多，以葡萄媽的個人經驗，看電影時只要多加留意並理解掌握、使用，口語便可上一個層次噢。
hon, is it’s gonna be difficult
What your father means, hon, is it’s gonna be difficult-- impossible even-- for you to become a police officer.
Hon是」honey」的縮寫，意為親愛的，典型的美國丈夫對妻子的稱呼。在中南方，有時去商店買東西，年長的店員也喜歡這樣稱呼顧客，跟我們開口就稱呼的「親」差不多。
Right. There’s never been a bunny cop.
「cop」是警員「Police officer」的口語稱呼，來自」copper」（銅），因為以往警員的徽章是由銅製的。「cop」可以用在任何場合。
Amen to that. Carrot farming is a noble profession.
」Amen」 （阿門）是禱告語的結尾，意為「I Agree」（我同意），並且是發自內心的堅定的「同意」，可以用在任何社交場合包括商務。
Where'd the heck she go?
Gimme your tickets right now, or I’m gonna kick your meek little sheep butt.
"heck"是"hell「的軟性表達。」Gimme是「Give me」的口語，不能用於商務場合。「Kick your butt」 是充滿挑釁的詞，就像口頭威脅的「打死你」，是「Kick your Ass」 的軟表達，通常用在兩個人開始肢體搏鬥之前。在商務場合有時會說「This project is really kicking my butt」，意思是工作遇到一定的麻煩可能搞不定。
Ow! Cut it out, Gideon!
「Cut it out」 and 「Knock it off」 都是「Stop it now」（停下來！）的意思，不能用於商務場合。
Look it her nose twitch. She is scared!
「Look it」來自美國小孩對」look at it」的錯誤發音，是「看一下」的意思。如果用於商務場合，就帶有興奮、驚喜的情緒，例如：「Look it…We got the big account!!!!」
Yeah! That Gideon Grey doesn’t know what he’s talkin』 『bout.
「You don’t know what you’re talkin』 『bout」 始於非裔美國人口語。現在多數美國人都會說這個，但是不用於商務場合，語氣比較重，屬於高級口語，用於爭吵。
Listen, I don’t know what you’re doing skulking around during daylight hours, but I don’t want
any trouble in here... So hit the road.
「hit the road」是很常見用來表達「動身、啟程」的口語，尤其是慣用於商務出差。
It’s called a hustle, sweetheart.
Hustle在電影裡有兩個涵義，這次的意思是反對某人。也用作」hurry」(趕快），這也是Hustle的初始含義，因為當人們反對某人的時候，他們需要快速思考及行動，所以後來便有了「反對」這層意思。
And I’m not the liar, he is. My bad. I just naturally assumed youcame from some little carrot-choked podunk, no?
「My bad」 來自非裔美語，現在已經普及，是「my fault」（我的錯）。如果兩個人不小心撞到一塊，彼此都會說「My bad」，反而比說」excuse me」更常見了，尤其是在年輕人群體。
Only to find, whoopsie...
Double whoopsie! She’s a meter maid. And whoopsie number threesie-- NO ONE cares about her or her dreams.
farmer... That sound about right?
「Whoopsie」 是「Whoops」的變體，意思是「我犯了個錯。」美國人有時說「onesie, twosie and threesie」 來代替」first, second and third」.非母語者儘量別使用，因為還有其他的負面含義。
I got dibs! Officer Hopps, I am in pursuit!
「I got dibs」是很常見的表達，特別是小孩子喜歡用於宣示「所有權」。例如：「I got dibs on the living room chair」 （客廳的椅子是我的）。
You! Freeze!
『Scuse me! 『Scuse me. Pardon...
「Freeze」=「別動！」
Rabbit, I did what you asked, you can’t keep me on the hook forever.
「On the hook」是指魚在鉤上，這很常用於當某人欠他人東西的處境。例如：「I am on the hook to pay for the meal tonight, because my buddy paid last time」今晚只能是我買單，因為上次是我的兄弟買的。
Not forever. Why, I only have 36 hours left to solve this case. So can you run the plate or not?
uh, darlin』 I』ve forgotten your name.
「darlin」 是老年男子對女子的暱稱，但有時候僅限於一個女人對一個男人的稱呼。常見用南部的藍領階層。
Hang in there.
用於缺乏耐性時，叫對方「等在那裡」。商務場合也可以用。
Way to hustle, bud.
「hustle」在這裡是」hurry」.
Now... since you’re sans warrant, I guess we’re done?
「sans」是個法語單詞，中產及上層階級用得比較多，「without」的意思。
I saw a shifty low-life climbing the fence.
「shifty」是指一個處於緊張狀態的人，因為他的眼神會左顧右盼游離不定。「shifty」最初應為「shifty-eyed」，後被簡化了。
Oh, sweet cheese and crackers.
「Sweet Jesus Christ」的「安全」表達，女性使用為主。與宗教有關的詞彙，有時會採用變體表達。
We broke bread together.
意思是很親密：「我把你們當做親密的家人，在我的家裡一起吃家宴」。
I trusted you, Nicky... I welcomed you into my home... we broke bread together... Gram-mama made you her cannoli. And how did you repay my generosity? With a rug... made from the butt of a skunk. 這段話不是典型的英語，但是是典型的義大利黑手黨口音。「Cannoli」 是一種著名的義大利食物。
Ice 『em!
芝加哥黑手黨以前有個著名的行為是把受害人扔到結冰的河或湖，所以Ice 『em 變成了「kill them」的意思，但這用於有組織的有關犯罪，現在已經不再用了。
