　　Aftermorethanamonthofdemonstrations,strikes,andboycottsofJapanesegoods,thegovernmentgavewayandrefusedtosignthepeacetreatywithGermany.

　　ThemovementspurredthesuccessfulreorganizationoftheNationalistPartyandgavebirthtotheChineseCommunistParty.SeealsoTreatyofVersailles.
