　　Becauseoftheheavyfog,hewasunabletogettherightway.

　　Althoughheaskedmanypeopleforthedirection,noonepaidattentiontohim,fortheywereallinahurry.

　　Helookedsoanxious.Atthisverymoment,awomancameoutofthefogandsaid,「Letmehelpyou,Sir.

　　Pleasegowithme."Johnfollowedthewoman,andthensheledhimtotherightplace.

　　Ittookthemabouthalfanhour.Johnowedhisgreatthankstoher.However,tohisgreatsurprise,hefoundthatthewomanwasblind.

　　「Howcanyoutakemehere?"Johnasked.「IhavebeenlivinginLondonsinceIwasborn,soI'mveryfamiliarwitheverystreetinthiscity."thewomananswered.

　　約翰在倫敦住了幾年，但他對那個城市並不是很熟悉，因為他很少出門。

　　在一個有霧的早晨，他要去參加一個重要會議。由於霧太大，他無法找到正確的方向。雖然他向很多人問方向，沒有人注意到他，因為他們都在趕時間。

　　他看上去很著急。在這個非常時刻，一個女人從大霧中走出來對他說，「先生，我來幫助你吧。請跟我走吧。」

　　約翰跟著她，之後她帶他帶到正確的地方。他們大約花了半個小時。約翰非常感謝她。

　　然而，令他吃驚的是，他發現那個女人是盲人。「你是怎麼能帶我到這裡來？」約翰問。「我從出生開始就一直生活在倫敦，所以我非常熟悉這個城市的每一條街道。」女人回答說。
