　　很久以前，有一粒小水滴聽東海爺爺講有關東海的故事。它知道東海用千裡之遙，不能形容海的遼闊，用千仞之高，不足以形容海的深度。它非常羨慕東海。

　　於是，它問東海爺爺：東海爺爺，為什麼東海那麼遼闊還那麼深呢?東海爺爺告訴它：我以前也是一粒小水滴，我和許多夥伴們日夜不停地奔流，小夥伴匯集融合在一起，就成了一條小溪，但我們沒有停止腳步，繼續日夜不停的地向前奔流，然後又成了江河，最後許多江河匯集在一起，就成了大海，形成了現在的東海。小水滴又問：我們真的有那麼大的力量嗎?可以變成小溪，變成江河，變成大海嗎?東海爺爺回答道：當然可以啦!不積小流無以成江河，所以你們都可以成為大海的。還有，成海以後，不要忘記小水滴的存在，更不要輕視小水滴的力量，它可是我們生命的源泉啊!沒有它，就沒有我們。

　　小水滴記住了東海爺爺的話，最後終於成為了著名的南海。
