英語閱讀不是英譯漢，是英譯英，是「說」英語U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday

凡是用中文「讀懂」的英語都不能稱為「英語閱讀」。

顯然，「英語閱讀」需要和訓練的不是「會說」中文(意思)的能力，是訓練出「會說」英語意思的能力。因此，學習英語難的不是說不出它的中文，難的是說不出它的英語，從而沒有給自己「使用」英語的機會，而英語「學」了不能「用」，學英語就沒有意義。

所以，「讀」下面的英語不是給你英譯漢的，是給你「英譯英」的，給你「說」英語，「用」英語的機會和鍛鍊。這才是我們要「英語閱讀」的根本原因。

一、你怎麼「讀」下面英語？

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday ordered the Chinese tech firm ByteDance to divest its interest in U.S. TikTok operations within 90 days, according to a statement released by the White House.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry earlier slammed the U.S. for blatant bullying in violation of market economy rules and the World Trade Organization's principles of openness, transparency and non-discrimination.

以上「英語閱讀」中，「說不出」下面英語的英語，都是「無效」英語閱讀：

1. ordered the Chinese tech firm ByteDance to divest its interest in U.S. TikTok operations

2.a statement released by the White House.

3. earlier slammed the U.S. for blatant bullying

4.in violation of market economy rules

5.principles of openness, transparency and non-discrimination.

當然，如果我們的「英語閱讀」依然還停留在下面這樣的「英譯漢」式閱讀，嚴格意義講不是「英語閱讀」，而是變相「中文閱讀」，因為你的「英語閱讀」是讓你「滿腦子都是中文」，而不是英語。

當然，一般人認為「能」這樣「英語閱讀」也十分重要，還有人把「英語閱讀」當做「語音練習」，當做「記生詞」練習，都可以理解，但是，我們不能把這樣的「閱讀」稱為「英語閱讀」了。

二、「說」和「用」英語的英語閱讀

1. When we order someone to do something,we give an order to him to do it,we give a command or an instruction to do it,meaning You must do it as I ask you to do.

真正的「英語閱讀」，不是能「說」一句中文「命令」就算事了的。

2.When we divest our interest in something,we sell off,we give up our benefits in it.

1.If we release a statement,we make it public so everyone knows it.

我們需要的是這個「說」英語的能力。

2.The White House is the US government,the US Administration,different from the Congress and the Court of Law.

只會「說」中文「白宮」是訓練不到「用」英語能力的。

現在我們需要的是你見到英語to slam someone時，你「能說」什麼英語，而不是考慮回答「中文什麼意思？」，這才是我們之所以「英語閱讀」的目的。只是我們所謂的「英語閱讀」考慮和滿足的僅僅是回答「中文是什麼」問題。

查英英字典後，我們「會說」英語了：

1.If we slam someone in words,we criticize him,we ctriticize him severely.

能說並用這句英語「記住」英語slam不比「懂」其中文意思更有利我們的英語嗎？

So, earlier slammed the U.S.means earlier criticized the U.S.

2.If we do something balantly,we do it openly.

3.If we bully someone,we try to harm someone who are smaller,or weaker.

不知道這樣「英語閱讀」後，今後能不能「記住」並「說出」這些英語？

1.If we do something in violation of a law,we violate the law,we break the law.

2. a market economy is different from a centralized economy.The market or the economy is decided by demand and supply.

這句英語有點難，但是它不是我們因此可以「改說」中文「市場經濟」的理由。
