1、國歌

國歌不是「national song」，而是「national anthem」。

anthem是國歌(組織或群體的)社歌，團歌(宗教)讚美歌(常由管風琴伴奏)

英英釋義：

A national anthem is a nation's official song which is played or sung on public occasions.

而song 是指「歌歌曲(統稱)歌曲歌唱聲樂(鳥的)鳴囀」等，national song可指民族歌，即能激起愛國情懷的歌曲如我們的紅歌等。

anthem和song之間的區別：

anthem和song都是名詞，anthem單獨使用就有國歌的意思，而song單獨使用不指代某一類型的歌曲。anthem的使用範圍沒有song使用範圍廣。anthem能表示某一類型的歌曲，song可以作為歌曲的統稱。

例句：

We stand up when the National Anthem is played.

國歌奏起時，我們全體站起來。

Whenever the stately national anthem is performed, I am invariably emotionally roused.

每當奏起莊嚴的國歌時，我總在感情上受到激發。

2、國慶節

國慶節是一個很大的範疇，每個國家都有自己的國慶節，我們統稱為「National Day」，但是如果特指中國的國慶節，我們就要加上China，即China National Day。

例句：

Singing and dancing, people celebrated National Day.

人們載歌載舞慶國慶。

National Day is only three days away.

離國慶節只有三天了。

3、祖國

通常我們會用motherland或homeland來表示祖國，但兩者之間還是有區別的。motherland的感情色彩更強烈，homeland除了表示祖國，還有家鄉和國土的意思。

例句：

He expessed the earnest love to his motherland.

他對他的祖國充滿了真摯的愛。

I think you have friends in your homeland .

我想你一定有許多朋友在你的家鄉。

4、中華民族

一般我們都會用Chinese nation來表示「中華民族」，比如說「revitalize the Chinese nation」即「 振興中華」，還有「descendants of chinese nation」表示「中華兒女」，descendant表示「後代，晚輩」。

例句：

This is the pride of the Chinese nation, every Chinese is proud of that.

這是我們中華民族的驕傲，是每一個中國人的驕傲。

Only by so doing can be worthy descendants of the Chinese nation to shoulder the link between past and future historic mission.
