一般情況下這兩個單詞組合有兩個含義：

1.除了…之外其餘（都）

此時all代詞，but連詞

Her forty-fourth birthday had just passed, unnoticed by all but herself.

All but my auntie have had lunch.

注意，all but後接的代詞可以是主格也可以是賓格，當all but結構處於主語區域是尤如此。

此時all but作副詞短語， all but(=almost, nearly)
