紅豆生南國，

春來發幾枝。

願君多採擷，

此物最相思。

王維（701－761，一說699－761），字摩詰，號摩詰居士。河東蒲州（今山西運城）人，祖籍山西祁縣。唐朝詩人、畫家，與孟浩然合稱「王孟」，有「詩佛」之稱。著有《王右丞集》《畫學秘訣》，存詩約400首。

WANG Wei (701-761 or 699-761), styled Vimalakirti and dubbed Vimalakirti Buddhist. He was a native of Puzhou, Hedong County (present-day Yuncheng, Shanxi Province), whose ancestral home was Qixian County, Shanxi Province. Wang, a poet and painter in the Tang dynasty, and Meng Haoran were known as 「Wang-Meng Duet」. Wang was praised as 「Buddha of Poetry」, about 400 poems of his extant. The poet authored A Collection of Right Assistant Wang and The Knacks of Painting.（邵瑞雪 譯）
