釋義：每況愈下，漸漸落魄，越來越差

例句：Over favourite restaurant has gone to the dogs lately.

我們最喜歡的那家餐館最近越來越差了。

Put on the dogs

釋義：擺闊 ，炫耀

例句：They really put on the dog for their daughter's wedding.

他們在女兒的婚禮上大擺排場。

Sick as a dog

釋義：病成狗

例句：Sarah was as sick as a dog and couldn't go to the party.

Sarah病得非常嚴重以至於她沒能去參加派對
